Louisa Gould established the gallery in 2003 as the island's only contemporary photography gallery. Louisa's speciality is yachting photography - the gallery started with a strong marine theme.
Since 2003, the gallery has expanded to include other artists and mediums; oil paintings, works on paper, sculpture and new media art. The gallery is dedicated to promoting established local, regional and emerging artists in varying medias. In addition, both Louisa Gould and Kate Huntington paint portraits from life or photographs.
The gallery now has an art leasing program. Gallery staff will hand deliver artwork to your Island home or off-Island home in the Northeast and professionally hang and install it as well. They have a variety of artwork to suit most tastes and styles.
Louisa Gould Gallery plans on holding events at the gallery for local non-profit and for profit groups. Organizations looking for an intriguing space to host an event should contact the gallery for details.
