The Trustees of Reservations preserves for public use and enjoyment properties of exceptional scenic, historic, and ecological value in Massachusetts and works to protect special places across the state.
Since 1891, The Trustees have been actively preserving wildlife refuges, historic homes, beautiful gardens, barrier beaches and a host of other extraordinary properties in the state of Massachusetts.
We are more than 100,000 people like you who want to protect the places we love or simply like to be outdoors. Together with our neighbors we preserve the distinct character of our community and inspire a commitment to special places across the commonwealth. Our passion is to share with everyone the irreplaceable landscapes and landmarks that we care for – as we know how valuable they are to our everyday life.
We encourage you to visit Cape Poge Wildlife Refuge, Wasque Reservation, and Mytoi Garden on Chappaquiddick, Menemsha Hills Reservation in Chilmark and Long Point Wildlife Refuge in West Tisbury. During the warm summer months you can participate in a guided kayak tour, watch your children learn to snorkel, enjoy surfcasting at some of the world’s best fishing beaches, discover the beauty of a sunset at the second highest peak on the island, or simply escape to the beach for some quite time. Whatever your pleasure, these properties are special, unique, and are open for your use and enjoyment.
Your membership will open a world of new experiences, give access to your favorite activities and provide rewarding opportunities for involvement – and your membership dues can be designated for use at any of our Martha’s Vineyard properties. As a Trustee, your individual interests become part of a collective effort to secure the surrounds, heritage and experiences that make life fulfilling and fun.
