Peter J. Williamson
Liza and Tim Williamson of West Tisbury announce the birth of their son, Peter James Williamson, on July 8 at Falmouth Hospital. Peter weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces, and joins siblings Emma and Max. His Island grandparents are Judith Williamson of Oak Bluffs, and Nancy Polucci and Ken Edwards of West Tisbury.

Courtney and Neil Atkins of Oak Bluffs announce the birth of their daughter, Audrey Page Atkins, on July 23 at Martha's Vineyard Hospital. Audrey weighed 8 pounds, 14 ounces.
Carter D. Alexander
Andria and Kevin Alexander of Edgartown announce the birth of their son, Carter David Alexander, on July 20 at Martha's Vineyard Hospital. Carter weighed 8 pounds, 2 ounces.

Ana Cintra and Ricardo Valentim of Oak Bluffs announce the birth of their son, Diego Cintra Valentim, on July 27 at Martha's Vineyard Hospital. Diego weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces.
Caroline N. Cotton
Aimee Blood and Paul Cotton of West Tisbury announce the birth of their daughter, Caroline Nicole Cotton, on July 28 at Martha's Vineyard Hospital. Caroline weighed 8 pounds, 9 ounces, and joins sister Grace.
Achievements
Aaron Teves of Tisbury was awarded the 2009 Dorothy Larkosh Roberts Award for creative thinking at the Tisbury School's Awards Ceremony on June 18.
Holly Bellebuono of Vineyard Herbs in Chilmark recently received a third place award at the 2009 International Herb Symposium at Wheaton College in Norton for her medicinal salves.
David Nathans of Princeton, N.J., was recently appointed executive director of the Martha's Vineyard Museum in Edgartown. He will assume his new position in late August.
Allison Carr of Vineyard Haven was recently named to the honors list at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, N.J.
Kathleen Fitzgibbon of Vineyard Haven recently presented a workshop at the American Holistic Nurses Assoc. annual conference in Madison, Wis. Her workshop was "Compassionate Dialogue as Reflective Practice."
David Stanwood of West Tisbury recently attended and lectured at the annual Institute of the Piano Technicians Guild in Grand Rapids, Mich., where he received the Crowl-Travis Member of Note award.
Mr. Stanwood presented his latest innovation - the Adjustable Leverage Action that allows a pianist to change the "personality" of a piano.

Simon Goldberg of West Tisbury recently received a bachelor of science from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va. Simon is the son of Patti Linn of West Tisbury and Ken Goldberg of Edgartown.
John Hitchings of West Tisbury recently received a degree of juris doctor from Brooklyn Law School in Brooklyn, N.Y. John also received the Moot Court Honor Society certificate of meritorious service, Order of Barristers certificate, and the CALI certificate of excellence for the future award.

Adele Godfrey-Certner and Ryan Meron
Adele Godfrey-Certner and Ryan Meron were married on June 20 at Edgartown Lighthouse Beach. Adele is the daughter of Dorie Godfrey and Ira Certner of Edgartown. Ryan is the son of Terry and Marlene Meron of Plattsburgh, N.Y. The couple will reside in Albany, N.Y.
