Photo exhibit
The West Tisbury Library hosts a new art exhibit for the month of September. "Bless the Beasts and the Children" showcases black-and-white and color photographs by Betsy Burmeister. Sheriff's Meadow's celebrates 50th at Field Gallery
The Sheriff's Meadow Foundation (SMF) recently held a photo contest to celebrate their 50th anniversary. The winning photos were exhibited at a benefit for SMF at the Field Gallery in West Tisbury on Sunday, August 30. The winners included three people from the youth division, and three from the adult division. The youth winners, from first to third place, were Henry Ehrenberg, Conor Estes, and Naomi Pallas. The adult winners were Rafe Lowell, Jeffrey Yuan, and Juleann Van Belle.
People gathered indoors and out at the Field Gallery to see the winning photographs in the Sheriff's Meadow Foundation's 50th anniversary Photo Contest on Sunday.

Painter David Tierney opens his studio on Hines Point this weekend for an opening reception. Mr. Tierney paints oil landscapes and abstracts on wood, canvas, and textiles that give his paintings varied textures.
