Dragonfly Gallery will host a reception for its plein air show, September Light on the Vineyard, on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 5 to 7 pm. The exhibit, which opened this past Tuesday, explores the way different Vineyard painters interpret their natural surroundings. Each artist provides a study of designated Vineyard scenes: Gay Head Cliffs, Menemsha, East Chop, West Chop, Sepiessa, Lobsterville, and Sengekontacket. The participating artists are: Thaw Malin, Marjorie Mason, Hermine Hull, Don McKillop, Susan Sellers, Susan Johnson, Bill Buckley, Mary Emerson, Kanta Lipsky, June Schoppe, Adrian Ryan, Magi Leland, Nancy Furino, Greg Watson, Carrie Mae Smith, Linda Thompson, Liz Taft, Traeger diPietro, Anne McGhee, and Marsha Winsryg.
