Louisa Gould Gallery held a reception this past Saturday called Sporting Art - Art of the Derby. Featuring works related to fishing and hunting, the exhibit is held annually in conjunction with the Martha's Vineyard Striped Bass and Bluefish Derby. David Kinney was there to sign copies of "The Big One," his recently published non-fiction account of the Derby.

Work on display included mounted game fish by Vineyard Haven taxidermist Janet Messineo, fish prints on rice paper by Steve London of Oak Bluffs, decorated cigar boxes and paintings by Brian Kirkpatrick of Oak Bluffs, Jane Fay Baker's fish-themed woodcuts, and fly fishing paintings by Luther Kelley Hall of Connecticut.
