Saturday's bake sale at Cronig's will support homeless animals on the Island. The group will host a holiday sale at 18 Firehouse Lane in Oak Bluffs on Sunday. Sunday is the 18th annual CROP Walk. Sponsor forms are still available at any place of worship, the high school, or from the Vineyard Committee on Hunger. The goal is to raise $20,000 for Church World Service/CROP Walk. This will help feed the hungry in 80 nations, including the U.S. Our food pantry will receive one fourth of the amount raised on Sunday.
Anyone can walk, for all or any part of the distance. The walk leaves promptly at 2 pm from St. Augustine's church in Vineyard Haven and goes to Trinity Methodist Church in the Campground and back. Walk it all or any part thereof. Register by 1:40 pm.
