Heather Neal and Craig Yuhas of Oak Bluffs, owners of B-Strong Health Club, recently completed Gray Cook's Functional Movement Screening certification.
Samuel Scott of Aquinnah was recently chosen as a member of the golf team at Nichols College in Dudley. Samuel is a first year student at the college.
Jane Elizabeth Taylor of Vineyard Haven and Beth Blankenship-O'Connor of Oak Bluffs, affiliated with M.V. Figure Skating Club and the Skating School of M.V., have recently upgraded their figure skating teacher ratings. Jane is now a senior rated moves in the field instructor. Beth is a certified program director.
Mariah HallBilsback of West Tisbury was recently awarded a Presidential Scholarship from Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, Penn. Mariah is a first-year student at the college.
Alexander Poole of Chil-mark was recently awarded the Founder Scholarship at Elmira College in Elmira, N.Y. Alexander, the son of Matthew and Patricia Poole, is majoring in childhood education

Sage M. Goeckel
Christopher Goeckel and Ashley Cluff of Edgartown announce the birth of their daughter, Sage Maegan Goeckel, on September 11 at Eastern Maine Medical Center. Sage weighed 8 pounds, 13 ounces. Her grandparents are Judy Pfeiffer and Hans Goeckel of the Island, and Judy and John Cluff of Maine

Kelly Leonard and Michael Berninger married on September 18 at the First Congregational Church in West Tisbury. Kelly is the daughter of Brett and Barbara Leonard of Vineyard Haven. Michael Berninger is the son of Rick and Joanne LaPierre of Vineyard Haven.
