Since beginning their Monday night two-for-one special eight years ago, Offshore Ale Co. has really hit a home run. This fall, enjoy two-for-one deals at a couple of other restaurants as well. On any given Monday from mid-October to May, Offshore is packed for dinner with diners enjoying the two-for-one entrée special. Entrees range from the Roma pizza, their plainest pie with sliced tomatoes, oregano, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese ($16.95), to hearty dishes such as Meatloaf to Make Your Mother Proud ($17.95). There are also nightly specials, such as this past Monday's short ribs served over leeks with a cheese-filled baked potato, which had run out by 8:30 pm. Il Tesoro, a new restaurant that opened this past spring in the Charlotte Inn, currently offers a Roman Holidays special, in which diners receive a complimentary entrée for each entrée purchased. Main courses prices range from the $18 Penne Arrabiatta: spicy Roman tomato sauce tossed with penne pasta, to the $38 Pescatora Risotto, sautéed with fresh local seafood such as lobster, clams, mussels, shrimp, calamari, bay scallops, in a white wine and fresh tomato sauce. Chef and owner A.J. Black is a celebrity among chefs. Growing up in Rome, Italy, he owned Café Roma, a restaurant on the famed Via Veneto, one of the most famous streets in Rome. He also worked at the Grand Hotel, a five-star hotel in the center of Rome. To add to his resume, he's also cooked for Madonna and Italian film director Frederico Fellini. Chef and co-owner Christian Thornton creates a new menu each night, according to the availability of fresh and local food. Currently, they're offering Organic Oven Roasted Chicken served on top of greens, shoestring potatoes, whipped potatoes, blue cheese, and a candied garlic vinaigrette, for $30; Pig Pig Pig: a "cracklin'" pork shank, collard greens, crispy potato cake, and sour cream-mustard sauce, for $30; Fresh Caught Salmon with black beluga lentils and sautéed frisee, for $32; Wok Fried Lobster, a two- to two-and-a-half-pound lobster for $48; and Bay Scallops with cauliflower goat cheese puree, sautéed vegetables, for $32.

On Sundays, save your appetite for the hearty cheeseburgers that come with an array of toppings: oven roasted tomatoes, sautéed mushrooms, sautéed onions, bacon, tomato, and a dill pickle. A small salad and large bowl of fries is also included, for $16.

And Deon's Restaurant in Oak Bluffs offers a two-for-one on Thursdays. For more information, call 508-696-0001.
