Good Taste : Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is coming up next Sunday, Feb. 14. For those who want to celebrate with dinner out on Sunday, here are some offerings in advance, because reservations are suggested.
Woo your loved one at Lambert's Cove Inn in West Tisbury where there will be live piano music. For reservations, call 508-693-2298. Or dine prix fixe at Mediterranean in Oak Bluffs The three-course menu and Med Dessert Bar is $40/person, and reservations are required. Reservations: 508-693-1617.
Also in O.B., Offshore Ale Co. continues its Valentine's Day tradition of giving away a red rose to each lady. There will also be live piano music from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, and dinner specials fitting for the holiday, such as a dessert for two.
Enjoy a four-course dinner ($75/person) at Oyster Bar Grill, where each woman will also get a rose. Call 508-693-6600 for more information.
Le Grenier in Vineyard Haven reopens for the romantic weekend. Says chef and owner Jean Dupon, "There will be dancing: disco, oldies but goodies. If you feel like dancing, bring your dancing shoes."
And over Valentine's weekend, excluding actual Valentine's Day, all entrees at the Square Rigger in Edgartown are 20 percent off.

And the Harbor View hosts a three-course prix-fixe menu, with complimentary rose, for $55.
Good cause
On February 10, Sharky's Cantina in Edgartown hosts Windemere Wednesday. Thirty percent of all food sold from 4 to 10 pm will be donated to the Windemere activity department.
