We are lucky to have a special day dedicated to reminding those around you how much they are loved. Whether it is a word, a card, flowers, chocolates, or a gift, you have the opportunity to bring joy into someone's life. Take the time to give a moment of love this Valentine's Day.

Claudia's on Main Street in Edgartown and Vineyard Haven has gotten in some special gifts in honor of the holiday. There are beautiful heart-shaped necklaces (starting at $38) and beaded bracelets with wampum hearts by Laura Artru ($140 and up). They also feature a large perfume collection, specializing in the Creed line of scents. If you're still not sure what to get and your girl has a Pandora bracelet, why not add a charm with meaning? Or you could start one for her if she hasn't. Men deserve a gift too and with their fantastic selection of watches and money clips ($50 and up), you are sure to find a winner.

If you are staying in on Valentine's, but want to make it special, LeRoux at Home in Vineyard Haven can help set the mood. With holiday bake ware - like their heart-shaped cookie cutters, tins and cupcake pans - you can make an amazing sweet for your sweet. If you have a foodie for a Valentine, Nadine Monaco recommends the Tagine by Le Crueset, which is a stunning Moroccan cooking vessel. She also recommends their pasta makers, paella pans ($19.99 and up), hand-held mandolins, or for anyone, their large variety of chocolate and silk flower bouquets ($14.99).

CB Stark, another sparkling store, also offers a heart jewelry selection in the form of earrings and pendants ($40 and up). Their Island-made pieces, such as their new Favorite Places bracelets ($65), offer you a chance to pick your special Island spot to ensure some tears of joy at your thoughtfulness. Some other great Valentine pieces are the Stephanie Wolf check tile glass line in shades of love, or the Sailor Valentine line, which has a very unique history you could share with your loved one.

For your true romantic, why not give a book of love poetry that you could read together. Bunch of Grapes has several to choose from. There is "100 Great Poems of Love and Lust," "Love Haiku," or "Passionate Hearts: The Poetry of Sexual Love."

Midnight Farm in Vineyard Haven has a special for those who love to treat the bodies well: 30 percent off all bath and body items. A unique gift could be a soap rock ($11) of garnet or gold in quartz. Their various body butters ($27) offer yummy scents like olive oil, basil, and avocado. Compliment your bath and body gift with a heavenly scented candle.

Consider pampering your beauty with a gift certificate to Hollywood Nails, Treat Yourself, Panache, Bouclé or one of the many other spa salons. A manicure-pedicure at Hollywood Nails is $47 while just a pedicure is $32, and a manicure is $18.

Oak Bluffs offers some flirty options at Rose Bud Balloons. In their back room they have risqué items such as games, edible undies, and lingerie. For a more unique gift, they will put gifts inside of balloons and you may add in fresh flowers like roses.

And for more lingerie, or perhaps a sexy costume, visit Knickers. You'll be sure to find something to wear under your V-day outfit.

No matter what you choose, have fun, share your love, and enjoy this Valentine's Day!
