Obituary : Rolando Arroyo
Rolando Arroyo of 49 Oak Lane in West Tisbury died peacefully and surrounded by his family members, on Monday, Dec. 1, at the Martha's Vineyard Hospital where he was under hospice care.
Rolando was born on May 3, 1932. Retiring from his position as the Accountant for the Venezuela Embassy in New York City, Rolando moved to Martha's Vineyard in the late 1990s. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He leaves his wife, Maria Villamizar, a son, Rolando Jr., a daughter, Lisette, a step-daughter, Elsy Carolina Gray, and husband, Kenneth Gray, and a grandson, Zachary Gray.
A memorial service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Oak Bluffs Catholic Church, with a reception to follow. Donations in memoriam can be sent to the Martha's Vineyard Hospital.
