Obituary : Lucia I. Farina
Mrs. Lucia I. (DelGobbo) Farina, 90, of Wolcott View Manor, best known as Lucy, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008, at Waterbury Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of August Farina.
Mrs. Farina was born June 20, 1918, in Waterbury, Conn., daughter of Antonio and Angelina (Mazzeo) DelGobbo. Mrs. Farina graduated from Waterbury Catholic High. She retired from Two Guys Department Stores. She was a communicant of St. Pius X Church, and her hobbies included cooking, baking, crossword puzzles, bingo, the casinos, and honoring the Lord.

She is survived by a daughter, Suzanne Warren and her husband, George, of Oak Bluffs; a brother, Richard DelGobbo of Waterbury; a sister, Leonora Gryniuk of Southington, Conn.; four grandchildren: Lucia Rinaldi and her husband Rick, Susan Phelan, John Warren and his wife Elizabeth of West Tisbury, and Scott Warren; and five great-grandchildren: Corey Cyr and his wife Katie, Ryan Cyr, and Laci, Brycen, and Samantha Warren.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Louis and Domenic DelGobbo; five sisters: Elvira Giordano, Ann Santoro, Hellen Palladino, Susan Jannetty, and Carmella Pavio; and a best friend, Dorothy Genovese.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the Wolcott View Manor staff for all their dedication and care given to Lucy.
A funeral service was held Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Woodtick Memorial in Wolcott, followed by mass, then burial in Calvary Cemetery.
