Obituary : Constance Leonard
Constance (Downs) Leonard, 98, of Vineyard Haven, died on Saturday, April 11, at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was the wife of A. Freeman Leonard Jr. who predeceased her in February of 2008.
She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Leonard Schilling of Vineyard Haven; her son, Peter Leonard and his wife, Yolanda, of Spensorport, N.Y.; her grandchildren, John Schilling, Gretchen Westgren, Melissa Gold, Andrew Leonard, and Sarah Leonard; and six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Jane (Downs) Burt and Donald D. Downs.
Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 16, in the First Baptist Church located on Spring Street in Vineyard Haven at 2 pm, officiated by the Rev. Roger Spinney.
