Obituary : Michael McManus
Michael K. McManus, 54, of Vineyard Haven, formerly of Rutland, died Friday, April 10, in Cape Cod Hospital after an illness.
Michael was born on August 18, 1954. He leaves two brothers, John J. McManus and Christopher Curtis, both of Holden; his long-time dear friend Dagmar Dockery of Vineyard Haven; aunts, uncles and cousins. He was born in Worcester, the son of John J. and Elaine V. (Johnson) McManus and lived in Holden and Rutland before moving to Vineyard Haven. Michael graduated from Wachusett Regional High School in Holden and was a self-employed fisherman.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour from 12 to 1 pm on Sunday, April 19, followed by a service at 1 pm in the Miles Funeral Home, located at 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A) in Holden.
A celebration of Michael's life will be held on Martha's Vineyard at a time to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made Juvenile Diabetes, Bay State Chapter, 20 Walnut Street, Suite 318 Wellesley, MA 02484.
