Obituary : Sally M. Kraetzer
Sally McLean Kraetzer, beloved wife of Joseph Gibbs Kraetzer of Chilmark, died peacefully at the age of 100 on April 5 at Long Hill in Edgartown.
Sally grew up in Lexington, was a 1928 alumna of Lexington High School, and graduated from Smith College in 1932. She was a nursery school teacher for many years. In retirement, she and Joe were avid golfers, and were active in the West Tisbury Congregational Church.
Sally was predeceased by her two children, Carol and David Roblin, and by her husband Joe, who died in 1995.
She is survived by her granddaughter Jennifer Robin, and by her extended family: John Raymond of Mountain View, Calif.; Sally Raymond Thibault of Alexandria, Va. and Edgartown; Ann Raymond Burt of West Tisbury; Susan Kraetzer Parkes of Chilmark and Tuscon, Ariz.; and eight grandchildren.
