Obituary : Charlene E. (Moore) Brodeur
Charlene E. (Moore) Brodeur, 58, died on May 6 at home in Hudson, N.H., surrounded by her family, following a brief battle with cancer. Born July 11, 1950, in Gardner, Charlene was the daughter of Douglas and Freda (Patch) Woessner. She moved to Greenfield in 1958 where she attended local schools, graduating from Greenfield High School in 1968.
Charlene was married to Michael R. Brodeur in 1973 and moved to Martha's Vineyard where she worked for Takemmy Laundry and as a home health aide. The family moved to Hudson in 1992.
Charlene loved ducks, flea markets, gardening, baking, crossword puzzles, 60s and 70s rock, Rod Stewart, Frank Sinatra, and classical music, especially live symphonies. She was an avid fan of the Red Sox, Patriots, and Celtics.
Survivors include her husband, Michael R.; a son, Michael A. Brodeur and his fiancée, Stacy Smith, of Hudson; two daughters: Kristina Oppenheim and her husband, Michael, of Litchfield, N.H., and Jennifer Martins and her husband, Wanderson, of Hudson,; grandson Thomas Kurth; granddaughter Morgaina Kurth; father and stepmother Douglas and Ruth Woessner of Hudson; brother Raymond Parmenter Sr. and his wife, Rosealma, of Edgewater, Fla.; three sisters: Anne Marie Kittredge and her husband, David, of Shutesbury, Jean Crisafulli and her husband, Carmelo, and Patricia Manning and her husband, Mark, all of Greenfield; sister-in-law Phyllis Britton of Greenfield; and many cousins, nephews and nieces. Charlene was looking forward to the birth of another granddaughter in early fall of this year.
Family and friends are invited to join Charlene's husband, children, and grandchildren on May 23 between 11 am and 6 pm to celebrate Charlene's life at her family home, located at 27 Greeley Street in Hudson, N.H.
