Obituary : Rosemary Barberio
Rosemary Barberio of Edgartown died on June 24 after a long illness. She was 78.
She moved to Martha's Vineyard in 1979 with her husband. She loved the Island and quickly learned to shellfish. Rosemary worked as a hairdresser for over 40 years in New Hampshire and Edgartown. Rosemary was an active member of Anchors. She loved to cook and wrote a cookbook and donated all the proceeds to the cancer fund.
Rosemary was predeceased by her husband, Frank "Chick" Barberio. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra M. Webster of Edgartown, her son Gene F. Barberio also of Edgartown; two grandsons, Dana W. Webster of Londonderry, N.H., and Shawn M. Webster of Oak Bluffs; and three great-grandchildren. Donations in Rosemary's memory can be made to Hospice of Martha's Vineyard, P.O. Box 2549, Oak Bluffs, MA 02557. There will be a private graveside service.
