Charlene E. Radcliffe, born April 6, 1943, died on November 14.

Charlene E. Radcliffe, Martha's Vineyard

She was the daughter of the late Charles and Ruthie Mae Radcliffe, and beloved sister of Robert D. Radcliffe of San Diego, Calif. She leaves her niece Paulette Muhammod of Durham, N.C., and several nieces and nephews, three godchildren, and many friends.

A memorial service will be held at Chapman, Cole, and Gleason Funeral Home on Saturday, Nov. 21, at 2 pm, with repast to follow at the VFW on Towanticut Avenue in Oak Bluffs at 3 pm. All are welcome.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Martha's Vineyard Cancer Support Group in Charlene's name: P.O. Box 2214, Vineyard Haven, MA 02568.

Charlene's Vineyard relationship began the first summer of her life and continued throughout. She became a full-time resident after retiring from New England Bell after 31 years.

Charlene's love of her family was the center of her life and the value of her friendships followed.

She was a member of the Inkwell Hound Dogs, a group of summer children from all over the United States who maintained their friendships as adults.

The Inkwell was her daily summer place to meet and greet new and old friends. She enjoyed her East Chop morning walks, spending time with friends, passing the winter watching movies, eating, and doing a whole lot of laughing.

She will surely be missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
