Obituary : Katherine "Kat" Daniels
Published: November 19, 2009
Katherine Daniels, "Kat", 41 of Vineyard Haven, died at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston Friday, Nov. 6. She died from a brain aneurysm. Kat was born in New York in 1968, the daughter of George and Doris Daniels.
Kat's life was characterized by her strong love and support of animals. Anyone who knew her throughout her life, whether it was from her pet store in Beverly or her time spent in Chicago, she was always very busy learning about animals, and educating people about them. Among her many accomplishments, she spent a lot of time rehabilitating injured or displaced animals. She was a student of gardening, and could be described as having a green thumb. She also was in the process of learning falconry, and took a lot of pride in her work with her red-tailed hawk, Magick.
Kat's interests extended into many different things in life. Not only was she a loving wife, and a very supportive person in general, but she was very gifted at anything she set her mind to, anything she aspired to do. She was a person who could commit to any passion in her life completely, and did so her entire life.
Kat was smart, she was strong, and above all else she was kind. There are no words, nor any common notions that could be communicated that could precisely describe the influence she had on those that knew her well.
Katherine is survived by her husband Justin Sindorf, her father George, and her brother Geoffrey.
Services for Katherine are to be determined at a later time in early spring. Her funeral arrangements are being handled by Chapman, Cole, and Gleason Funeral Home in Oak Bluffs. Please visit ccgfuneralhome.com for online guest book and information.
