Obituary : Eileen T. Snowden
Eileen T. Snowden died at her home surrounded by family and friends in Northport, Fla., on December 3. She was 81 years old.
Eileen was born November 18, 1928, on Martha's Vineyard, to the late Jerome A. and Irene (Andrade) Healy. She was united in marriage to Russell F. Snowden of Middleboro on August 12, 1948. They resided on Martha's Vineyard until 1978, when they moved to Nokomis, Fla.
Eileen in survived by her husband, Russell; her daughter, Sharon Healy, and her husband, Donald Mathis, of Honolulu, Hawaii; her daughter, Jean Labelle, of Northport, Fla.; her son, Russell, of Port Charlotte, Fla.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; her brother, Jerome S. Healy, of Naples, Fla.; and her sister, Evelyn H. Wallace, of Richmond, Va. She is further survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn F. Hines.
A memorial service will be held in August 2010 on Cape Cod where her ashes will be returned to the much loved waters of her childhood. Eileen's gentle and beautiful spirit has been carried to Heaven on the wings of angels but will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
