Scott M. "Dog" Correia, 40, of New Bedford, died on December 29, 2009 at home.

Born in New Bedford, a son of Dale M. (Hampton) Correia of South Dartmouth and the late Michael Correia, he was raised in Dartmouth and lived on Martha's Vineyard for 13 years before moving back to the city.
He was a 1987 graduate of the Culinary Arts Program at New Bedford Regional Technical Vocational High School. He worked as a chef in a restaurant on Martha's Vineyard and also managed the Martha's Vineyard Taxi Company.
He loved cooking, music, video and photography, computer work, and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving, in addition to his mother: a brother, Kenneth J. Correia, and his wife, Jodie, of Dartmouth; a niece, Lauren Correia, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was the grandson of the late Henry and Marion Correia and Kenneth and Lucille Hampton.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 9, at 1 pm in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Dartmouth, located at 230 Russells Mills Road in Dartmouth.
