Donated blankets for hurricane victims

A mountain of blankets has piled up at Grace Episcopal Church in Vineyard Haven, destined for residents of Biloxi, Miss. Generous Vineyarders have delivered dozens and dozens of blankets since Richard Knabel of West Tisbury began a collection drive about two weeks ago. UPS has offered to ship the blankets to Biloxi free of charge where they will be distributed to those displaced by hurricanes. Blankets may be dropped off at the church parish house on Woodlawn Ave. through Friday, Nov. 18.
