Nantucket revisited
In last week's Times the wrong picture appeared above the caption "Alan Fortes does what he does best, plowing into the line "moving the pile."
The picture that should have run is shown at right.
All season long Alan has been "Mr. Dependable," picking up yardage the hard way, providing just the right block at just the right time, and doing his bit on special teams.
At Nantucket, typically, Alan quietly went about his business, carrying the ball 13 times, more than anyone else. He gained 72 yards, an average of 5.5 per carry, and caught one of the four completed passes. He, with Jeff Osborn and Tyler Hathaway, was credited with the most tackles. Alan also scored the Vineyard's first touchdown.
The picture we intended to show of Eric Dolliver scoring for the JV is at left.
