Julius E. Spector, age 86, of Livingston, N.J., died on Feb. 18, at Saint Barnabas Medical Center.
Mr. Spector was born in New York City and lived in Livingston for over 50 years. He graduated with a degree in chemistry from City College of New York, class of 1929. Employed as a chemist of industrial coating, he retired in 1985 as president of Everseal Corporation in Ridgefield, N.J. He was a distinguished World War II veteran.
Mr. Spector was predeceased by his daughter, Lynne Marie Aubin. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Audrey E.; a son, Stuart of Edgartown; a brother, Len Spector; and his granddaughter, Brooke Aubin of West Tisbury.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Feb. 20 at Bernheirn-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel in Livingston, N.J. A graveside service will be held Friday, Feb. 22, at 1 pm in the Martha's Vineyard Hebrew Cemetery, West Spring Street, Vineyard Haven.
