A spiritual place
To the Editor:
As a minister who served two Island churches, I found the people very concerned, not only about God but about the people. And, one cannot have one without the other. I used to have a call to worship, "I sought to hear the voice of God, so climbed the highest steeple, but God declared, 'Go down again, for I live amongst the people.'''
I rejoice that when my wife Phyllis died that we lived in such a spiritual atmosphere. I miss that here.
