Splash! New swim team will compete
[More Photos]The brand new Martha's Vineyard Regional High School swim team have begun practicing for their first meet this week.
The MV Makos, will host Nantucket in the first swim meet ever between the two schools at noon on Sunday at the new YMCA pool.
Coach of the Vineyard team, Robin Tuck, grew up in Newfoundland where she also graduated from Memorial University. While in college Ms.Tuck followed a family tradition of swimming competitively, primarily in middle distance freestyle.
A total of 33 swimmers tried out for the new team.
