Tisbury School festival a success – thanks to all
To the Editor:
A beautiful autumn day welcomed more than 200 families, friends, and neighbors to the Tisbury School PTO's seventh annual harvest festival. The harvest festival has become a fond tradition at the Tisbury School. This wonderful community event included a potluck supper, hay rides, pony rides, live music, and games and activities for all ages.
The harvest festival is free, and each year's continued success can be attributed to the generous support of our Tisbury School community. It is with great appreciation that we thank the following individuals and businesses for their donations: Dave Gauvain, manager of the Stop & Shop for the generous donation of pumpkins; Laurie Clements for coordinating the pony rides; Jennifer Hanna of Island Pony Rides for donating her time and bringing her beautiful pony, Cosmos, for the children to ride; and the Packer family for providing the hayrides.
We are extremely grateful to Nancy Jephcote, Paul Thurlow, Mark Hahn and Sam Graber-Hahn for providing the live music again this year. We thank you for sharing your musical gifts with us. As always, it is with great appreciation that we thank our school's leadership, Richie Smith, principal, and John Custer, assistant principal, for supporting the PTO's continued efforts to provide community outreach events that are affordable and accessible to all families at the Tisbury School.
