Tisbury selectmen meeting change
Although the Tisbury selectmen usually meet biweekly, their next meeting has been rescheduled from August 31 to September 7, at 5 pm at the Tisbury Senior Center.
On Tuesday, August 31, the selectmen will attend a meeting of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, where town officials will make a formal presentation on Tisbury's proposed connector road project between State Road and the Edgartown-Vineyard Haven Road.
The presentation is an important step in the state's process in consideration of awarding a Public Works Economic Development grant of up to $4 million to the project. The Boston meeting is scheduled at 2 pm, August 31, in the Transportation Building.
