The MV Celtics, winners of Group A in the MV Football (soccer) Association second season, won the league title and the Gilbert-Hammond Cup by defeating the Group B winners, Monto Orthopedics, last Wednesday at Veterans Park, 2-1.
Eduardo scored for Monto on a penalty kick.
Sam Griswold answered for the Celts, tying the game, then scored again on a free kick to nail the win.
