Situated around beautiful Sengekontacket Pond, Farm Neck Golf Club off County Road in Oak Bluffs gives visitors the opportunity to experience a challenging course while providing magnificent views of the surrounding landscape. Built in 1979, Farm Neck is a semi-private bent grass course, winding through 6,815 yards from the gold championship-level tees.

Mink Meadows Golf Club is located off Franklin Street in the West Chop area of Vineyard Haven. Constructed in 1936, the semi-private course contains nine holes arranged in a square pattern among beautiful woods and meadows close to Vineyard Sound. For a full round of 18 holes, golfers play the course twice from different tee placements and cover 6,152 yards in their journey. Unlike Farm Neck, Mink Meadows has no water hazards, but counters with imposing rough and small, contoured, fast greens with difficult pin placements. Both courses are challenging to golfers of all abilities. The other Island courses, the Edgartown Golf Club and Vineyard Golf Club, are for members and their guests only.

Tennis

Whether you're on the Vineyard for a couple of days, a couple of weeks, or a couple of months, there are plenty of options for great tennis, for all ages and levels. Choose from the Vineyard Tennis Center at the Martha's Vineyard Airport with two indoor hard courts, the Island Country Club Tennis with three Har-Tru courts, available on an hourly basis, and Farm Neck Tennis Club with four clay courts and a fully-stocked pro shop. The Vineyard Youth Tennis Center off Barnes Road in Oak Bluffs caters to Island children, but summer programs for non-residents are available. Town courts are also open to the public (see locations below). All tennis clubs will set up a match for you if you don't have a partner, so don't hesitate to call to arrange a game.

Public Disc Golf

Riverhead Disc Golf Course. Located on Barnes Road just next to Vineyard Youth Tennis, The Riverhead Disk Golf Course is free and open to the public from sunrise to sunset throughout the year.
