Each of the Island's six towns has its own style, and appearance. If you want to be close to ferries, shopping and nightlife, you'll probably want to be in one of the three down-Island towns: Vineyard Haven, Edgartown, or Oak Bluffs. Should you prefer a more pastoral setting, head up-Island to West Tisbury, Chilmark, or Aquinnah. Each creates a unique experience for visitors.
