Kids’ fundraiser for camp

Vineyard Assembly of God hosts its second annual Craft Fair and Yard Sale Saturday, May 29, from 9 am to 2 pm. Spaces for booths are still available for rent at $25 for a 7 ft. booth. The event raises money to send children to summer camp in July.

“We send them the third week of July to a camp in Rumney, N.H., called Camp Rumney. The kids can sign up to go for $250. That’s why we’re trying to help fundraise some of the money,” said Debbie McCormick, secretary for the Vineyard Assembly of God.

“The camp is for kids in grades sixth to ninth. All of the kids who went last year want to again, and even more this year.” Last year, the kids raised almost 100 percent of the trip through fundraising. The kids are holding a small café as well, so lunch and baked goods are available. For more information, call 508-696-7576, or Kat at 562-686-6316.
