To the Editor:
This coming Sunday, May 15 is Peace Officers’ Memorial Day and the start of National Police Week. It’s a week in which we remember law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving their community.
This year 162 names will be added to the memorial wall that stands in Washington D.C. for fallen officers. In 1994, President Clinton signed an amended law for all government buildings to fly their flags at half-staff on this day, in honor of these fallen heros, to recognize and pay respect to them and their families. Let us all do the same.
