A story published May 12, “State probes Oak Bluffs bid procedures,” failed to note that Tisbury contractor Powers Electric is certified by the state Division of Capital Asset Management (DCAM) to work on public projects.

The company recently submitted the winning bid to Chilmark selectmen to connect water, telephone, electrical, and cable service to the town pier destroyed during the Menemsha fire last July.

High School View

A story published May 12 in The High School View, “Islander enters national sports scene,” incorrectly reported that Robert Russillo coached his son in high school. He coached his son off-Island when he was a junior high school student. Also, ESPN sports caster Ryen Russillo is heard on 1340 AM out of New Bedford, not 1050 AM.
