So many helped

To the Editor:

I am a MVRHS Class of 2012 graduate, and currently a cadet enrolled in a service academy prep program at Valley Forge Military Academy and College in Wayne, Pennsylvania. About a week ago, I received my appointment to the United States Military Academy at West Point.

The purpose of this letter is to thank the scores of people responsible for helping me get to this point. The list is endless, and I appreciate every bit of effort people have put forth to help me achieve this dream. Without the aid of family, friends, educators, and numerous community members, I don’t think I would have been nearly as successful as I have been.

I give you the most heartfelt gratitude. I quote the proverb: “It takes a village to raise a child,” and I am honored to call Martha’s Vineyard my village.
