The YMCA of Martha’s Vineyard held its third annual Healthy Kids Day on Saturday, as part of the national Healthy Kids Day initiative celebrated at nearly 1,600 YMCAs across the country, with more than 700,000 families nationally in attendance. Hundreds of Islanders enjoyed the day.

The free, annual event is intended to teach healthy habits to kids and inspire a lifetime love of physical activity.

The event was sponsored by Mass in Motion. The Farm Institute, Island Grown Schools, Vineyard Nutrition, the Farm at Lotus Pond, The Trustees of Reservations, Vineyard Smiles, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Music Together, and the Yard joined in the fun.
