The Vineyard is chock full of great talent of all ages. Yet, there is no place for them to gather and perform unless they are booked into a club or concert event. Alex’s Place announces that their Community Open Stage nights will continue throughout the fall and winter on the first Fridays of every month.
Although known primarily as a space for teens, Alex’s Place builds a bridge between teens and the community with events such as Open Stage. Adults are welcome to join in, take the stage, and perform along with teens and folks of all ages. WIth a 4,000-watt sound system, great stage lights, comfortable candle-lit atmosphere, and a full array of instruments, Alex’s Place harkens back to the traditional coffeehouse style venue.
Doors open at 7:30 pm and showtime is 8 pm. Admission is $5 per person. Located at the YMCA of M.V. on Edgartown-Vineyard Haven Road across from the high school, Alex’s Place is alcohol and smoke-free.
