Most days it’s an image of heaven
in vast distant nebulas
with names like ” Pillars
of Creation” or “God’s Garden.”
A glimpse through a time window,
the far side of the Milky Way.
You can’t get your head around
the distances, light years
in the millions. Red gasses,
black holes, blue dwarfs, matter
as old as creation, and
as current as the ripples
left on Seth’s Pond just now
by a kingfisher diving for breakfast.
