The Tisbury selectmen made additional revisions to the Park and Ride fee schedule at a meeting on December 18. Following up changes in the rates they made at a meeting on December 3, the selectmen voted to eliminate fall and spring seasonal non-resident permits and replace them with a six-month seasonal permit that will cost $225 in 2014.
The selectmen had voted at their previous meeting to increase the annual non-resident permit fee from $250 to $350 and the year-round resident annual permit from $25 to $50.
Different restrictions and fees apply to commercial vehicles, based on size. The selectmen said they also plan to review those rates and discuss them with the Steamship Authority (SSA). The town and SSA have an agreement through which the Vineyard Transit Authority provides shuttle service between the Park and Ride lot and the SSA’s Vineyard Haven terminal.
The lot is located off High Point Lane, next to Tisbury’s capped landfill.
