The National Rural Health Association recently announced that Martha’s Vineyard Hospital (MVH) was among the top 20 highest ranked critical access hospitals in the country, as determined by iVantage Health Analytics. Of the 4,500 hospitals across the U.S. there are 1,300 critical access hospitals, according to a press release.
iVantge Health Analytics used national databases to develop the rankings. Determining factors were based on risk, value, and financial stability.
The hospital will receive the award in October at the National Rural Health Association’s Critical Access Hospital Conference in Kansas City, Missouri.
“I am truly honored to have the opportunity to work with all the doctors and nurses, administrative and support staff,” hospital CEO Timothy Walsh said. “They ensure that Martha’s Vineyard Hospital meets our mission to provide quality care each and every day.”
