August brings the laughs. Lenny Clarke, the well-known comedian, actor, and Chilmark resident when he is not performing on the mainland, will make a summertime Martha’s Vineyard appearance Sunday night, August 3, at Flatbread Company at the airport for a dinner show.

Lenny “and friends” will bring the laughs, and Tina Miller, general manager of Flatbread, which specializes in delicious, brick-oven pizza, will provide the dinner.

Lenny will perform with the legendary Tony V, a Boston native who needs little introduction, and newcomer Christine Hurley, who he described as the funniest female comedian to come along in some time. A Plymouth native, Christine is married to her high school sweetheart, and they have five children. Her stand-up routines include observation about children, married life, and her neighborhood. Her routine is winning over not only audiences but fellow comedians, said Juliet Pennington of the Boston Globe.

“I’ve been doing this for 37 years, and I can honestly say that I haven’t seen someone as good as her since Roseanne [Barr], when she started doing stand-up,’’ Lenny told the Globe. “The first time I saw her I said, ‘My God, we have something special here.’”

Lenny has kept up a busy schedule, which has included stints on USA Network’s original comedy series “Sirens,” and entertaining the troops. He said he is thrilled to be able to bring comedy to the Vineyard even if it is for only one night.

Ms. Miller said everyone who has a ticket will have a seat and she expects the show to sell out early. For more information, call 508-693-1137.
