While some families left the Island this week for warmer, more exotic destinations or adventurous ski trips up north, many stayed behind and enjoyed some quiet time on the Island; local businesses catered to schoolchildren during their break. The YMCA’s action-packed agenda included an ice skating excursion, a visit from Felix Neck, and a trip to Woodside Village, among other activities. The Martha’s Vineyard Playhouse held a special family screening of Mary Poppins, and the West Tisbury library hosted daily movies and crafts throughout the week. Despite staying home, there was still fun to be had!
