Connect to End Violence, a program of Martha’s Vineyard Community Services, will be hosting an opportunity for Island women to build up their safety skill set. A women-only self-defense class will be held this Sunday, June 28, from 12 to 2:30 pm at the Oak Bluffs School gymnasium. Alpha Krav Maga Boston Cape Cod will be facilitating and sponsoring the event, with 100 percent of proceeds going to Connect to End Violence. Women ages 12 and up are welcome, with a suggested $25 donation to register.
