Creamers defeat Shady Ladies in playoff softball


In the first round of the women’s softball playoffs Tuesday night, the Creamers defeated the Shady Ladies 9-0 to advance to the second round.

Shawna O’Donnell went 2-2 and Julie Rodenbaugh hit a 2 RBI triple in the second inning. Alleyne Hughes pitched a great game for the Creamers, allowing no runs. Becca Goreham showed incredible arm strength after she threw a ball from centerfield to catch a runner out at home in the seventh inning to keep the Shady Ladies off the board.

In the late game, the Snaps defeated the Rug Sox 2-0 to advance.
