Edgartown police are investigating the theft of surveying equipment from an unlocked Honda Element owned by Schofield, Barbini, and Hoehn, Inc., a land surveying and civil engineering company on State Road in Vineyard Haven.
Surveyor Ken Abbott told Detective Michael Snowden that his vehicle was parked on Pilgrim Road in Edgartown and broken into Thursday night or Friday morning. The missing equipment and tools are valued at $2,054.
