To the Editor:
On Friday the 6th, I took our dog for a walk on Sheriff’s Meadow Foundation property off Middle Road. Beside the confined area to park was a deer that had been butchered. Although I do not deer hunt, our family has given permission to friends to do so on our property, and we are not opposed to hunting. However, this is not what respectful hunters do with the carcass. What was puzzling to me was that the foundation allows bow hunting by permission on that property, and why would someone abuse that privilege? I hope this incident is a rarity.
