The Steamship Authority has canceled some ferries Wednesday due to high, blustery winds and sea conditions. Winds are gusting up to 45 miles per hour. More cancelations are expected and travelers are advised to contact the boatline for current sailing schedules.
By 11:30 am, the Authority had resumed some trips, but canceled the 11 am boat departing Woods Hole, which leaves Vineyard Haven at 12:15.
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory. West winds 20 to 25 MPH with gusts to 45 MPH are expected. Winds are expected to diminish later this afternoon.
