Featherstone Center for the Arts will now curate the art shows displayed in the Feldman Family Artspace at the Martha’s Vineyard Film Center. The curator of two years, Paul Brissette, retired MVRHS Art Department chair, will step down from the role in order to travel and focus on his own artistic pursuits.
“I want to thank Paul Brissette for his dedication these past 2½ years with the curating and exhibiting of over 30 Island artists at the Film Center,” Martha’s Vineyard Film Center founder and executive director Richard Paradise said. “His attention to detail and love of art has made the Feldman Artspace a colorful and stimulating passageway for patrons going to the movies from the very beginning.”
Featherstone will manage the application and selection process for artists, and coordinate the schedule for this 2016 calendar year. “Featherstone is delighted to continue the opportunity to showcase Island artists in this magnificent space,” Ann Smith, executive director of Featherstone Center for the Arts, said.
Now through Feb. 16, the Art Space is showcasing the photography of Peter Dreyer.
