Clean MV, a volunteer group dedicated to combating litter and illegal dumping on the Island, will hold a beach cleanup this Saturday, Jan. 23, between 11 am and noon at State Beach. Volunteers will gather at the parking lot at Bend-in-the-Road Beach in Edgartown. People are advised to wear boots, rainwear, and gloves, and should also bring a bucket for garbage. Questions about the cleanup will be answered at the Clean MV Facebook page. Prospective volunteers are advised to check the Clean MV Facebook page for a possible postponement due to this weekend’s predicted storm.
